  • Cost-effective way to access a high-quality US education from the comfort of your own home

  • Must have earned a high school diploma (completed the equivalent of 12th grade in the U.S.)
  • Must meet English proficiency requirements for English 101 placement: TOEFL of 70 overall with 20 in writing, IELTS of 5.5 overall with 6.0 in writing, taken within last 2 years. For other English assessment options, see our English Proficiency page. Email score report to international@shoreline.edu after applying online
  • Must have reliable access to internet, including Google, Gmail, and online content such as YouTube, nytimes.com and other sites that may be restricted in some countries
  • Must pay $50 USD application fee

Steps to Apply

  1. Choose your program
  2. Review tuition costs: Your tuition can be found in the Non-WA resident, Non-US citizen column
  3. Submit application
  4. Submit Application Fee: Applications will be processed after the application fee is received. This fee is non-refundable. Pay only the $50 USD application fee; do not pay the $35 USD international express shipping fee
  5. Email copies of the following documents to international@shoreline.edu:
    • The photo page of your passport
    • A copy of your most current unofficial transcript or diploma
    • Proof of English proficiency (please see eligibility requirements above)
