Completion Grant

This grant is for students who are at least 80% of the way through their program of study and have plans to graduate within 2 quarters, who have experienced a recent (in the last three months), unexpected financial hardship that makes it exceedingly difficult to complete their program of study.

The purpose of this grant is to help students graduate and complete their studies when an enrollment-threatening financial emergency hits.


To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Be a currently-enrolled Shoreline College student.
  • Be 80% or more through your program of study and within 2 quarters of graduating.
  • Have experienced a recent (within 3 months) and unforeseeable event that has greatly impacted your financial situation and threatened your ability to complete your program of study. Examples include: unexpected medical expenses, emergency auto/home repairs, or sudden loss of income.
  • Be ineligible for other funding sources (WorkForce, FAFSA/WASFA, etc.)
  • Must not have received an SCC Foundation scholarship in the current academic year
  • Have a 2.0 GPA or higher

This grant may not be used to pay for past-due tuition from prior quarters.

This grant is not open to International Students.
