Aid for Undocumented Students (WASFA)
SB 6523, commonly known as The Real Hope Act, was signed into law in 2014. This law allows undocumented non-citizens who are unable to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) due to their immigration status to apply for state financial aid through the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA).

Steps to Apply:
1. Complete the WASFA
- Complete the free 2024-2025 WASFA if you are attending Summer 2024-Spring 2025
- Complete the free 2025-2026 WASFA if you are planning to attend Summer 2025-Spring 2026

2. Apply for Admission to Shoreline Community College (if you have not already)

The financial aid office will review your WASFA application to determine if you are
eligible for funding. You will receive an email notification regarding any aid offer.
Shoreline Community College’s Financial Aid Office provides student-driven services
and support through equitable and accessible practices. Our primary mission is to
remove financial barriers that may prevent students from attending college and obtaining
an education.
