Shoreline Community College utilizes community advisory committees in all of its professional/technical programs. Advisory committees create a critical linkage between industry and the College, enabling Shoreline to respond to the needs of a constantly changing labor market.
Members of the committee provide advice regarding the planning, administration, curriculum development and evaluation of programs. Meetings are open to students and all those interested.
Note: Prior to Nov. 16, 2011, there were three separate committees: Accounting, Business Administration, and Business Technology. The three committees were merged into one Business Advisory Committee. The committee has continued to hold its meetings until Oct. 15, 2015.
Starting Fall 2016, the Business Advisory Committee will be split into two committees: Accounting/Business Technology and Business Administration.
Fall 2018 Accounting and Business Technology split into two committees. Accounting runs as a seperate committee and is part of the business programming at the college.
