"The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Directed by Bryar Golden

A musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.

"A Kitchen in the World"

Directed by Duygu Monson

Beginning with an explosion and then traveling one hour prior, “A Kitchen in the World” explores the differences in how people eat, drink, talk, fight, make peace, get married, work, miss each other and how they come together.

People from different cultures visit other people’s kitchens for various reasons. And while they may live in different countries, they still experience the same thing. And that is the experience of ‘being human’. Feeling as if they all live in the same apartment, audiences experience how an explosion can change their points of view.

Written with irony and wit, “A Kitchen in the World” explores human emotions, interactions and nuances through swift and surprising transitions and thought provoking story telling.
