Financial aid helps students pay for college. This financial assistance can cover educational expenses including tuition and fees, books, supplies, and transportation. There are several types of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, work study, and loans. Financial aid awards may include a combination of these various types of aid.

Key Financial Aid Dates for Spring Quarter 2025

March 7, 2025 Spring Quarter file complete priority deadline
March 12, 2025 Holds preventing drop for nonpayment
We hold you in your classes if you completed your financial aid file by March 7.  A F02 hold may be placed on your account.  This is a positive hold and indicates that your classes are held and you are not dropped for nonpayment.

Confirmation of academic progress
We check prior quarter grades before aid is disbursed.  Check your email for notification 
regarding your financial aid status and eligibility.

April 1, 2025 Aid disbursement begins
We assume fulltime enrollment but you are not required to enroll fulltime.  If you do not plan to register fulltime (12+ credits) , please submit an Enrollment Update to avoid delays in disbursing your aid.
April 2, 2025 Spring quarter begins
April 15, 2025 Census date
May 18, 2025 Last date of attendance - no aid repayment due
You must attend classes through at least the 60% of the quarter to avoid a potential repayment of aid received.

Important News Concerning the 2025-26 FAFSA and WASFA

The 2025-2026 FAFSA and WASFA are available NOW for students planning to attend Summer 2025 to Spring 2026.  Apply as soon as possible and be sure to meet the deadline for the quarter you wish to start receive funding.  Refer to our Important Dates and Deadlines page for details.

The 2024-2025 FAFSA and WASFA are still available for students attending Summer 2024-Spring 2025.

Change of Income

If you or your family have experienced a dramatic change in income or a loss of resources that was not reflected on your current FAFSA or WASFA, you may submit a Special Circumstances request to have your financial aid eligibility re-evaluated. Please note that increased financial need does not guarantee increased funding.

Additional Financial Aid Forms

Once you've filled out your application, if additional documents are required, the Financial Aid Office will notify you and post the requirements within your ctcLink account.
