Staff and Teacher/Child Ratios
Dedicated Educators, Trusted Care

Children are supported every day at the PCC by a team of experienced, caring professionals who are passionate about early learning and child development. Our staff brings a rich blend of education, hands-on experience, and cultural diversity to the classroom, helping every child feel known, valued, and encouraged to grow.
We believe strong relationships between teachers and families are essential for children’s success, and we work hard to create a welcoming, respectful, and collaborative environment for everyone.
Qualified Early Learning Professionals
Each classroom is staffed by:
- A Lead Teacher, with at least an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field
- An Assistant Teacher, with a Washington State Early Childhood Education Certificate or equivalent experience
Together our teachers bring years of early childhood teaching experience to their roles and are deeply committed to ongoing professional learning and high-quality practice.
A Reflection of our Community

Our team represents a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds that reflect
the families and students we serve. Many of our educators speak multiple languages,
including:
Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese, Cantonese, Mandarin, French, and Korean,
helping children feel at home and supported in moments of communication, exploration,
and play.
Teacher/Child Ratios
We intentionally staff classrooms to support connection, engagement, and safety:
- Infants: 1 teacher for every 4 children
- Toddlers: 1 teacher for every 7 children
- Preschool (ages 3–5): 1 teacher for every 10 children
These ratios allow teachers to develop close relationships with each child, respond to individual needs, and create a supportive learning environment throughout the day. Small groups help children feel secure, build confidence, and engage in meaningful play.
A Team that Welcomes You
We know that families want to feel confident about the people caring for their children.
When you visit the Parent Child Center, you’ll meet educators who:
- Know your child by name and interest
- Communicate regularly with families
- Build learning experiences grounded in development and curiosity
- Celebrate children’s milestones and support their growth
Our staff are not just caregivers; they are an extension of your family and passionate advocates for your child’s learning and well-being.
If you’d like to learn more about our team, ask questions about staff credentials, or meet our educators in person, we’d be happy to help. Contact the Parent Child Center office or schedule a visit, we look forward to welcoming you and your family.

“The teachers and staff really do take each child individually and make sure that they
receive the best care."
Ariell Ikeda, PCC Parent
