Food Service and Mealtime

Breakfast, lunch, and two afternoon snacks are provided daily. Healthy, home style meals are cooked on site and served “family style” in the classroom, encouraging independence and social skill development. Allergies, food intolerances and food preferences for religious or other reasons are accommodated in collaboration with the family and child’s primary health care provider.
The Parent Child Center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The CACFP provides federal funds to childcare programs to serve nutritious meals and snacks. The goal is to improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of children and adults in care while promoting the development of good eating habits.
