Food Service and Mealtime

Two Toddlers Eat Breakfast

Two preschoolers eat breakfast

Breakfast, lunch, and two afternoon snacks are provided daily. Healthy, home style meals are cooked on site and served “family style” in the classroom, encouraging independence and social skill development. Allergies, food intolerances and food preferences for religious or other reasons are accommodated in collaboration with the family and child’s primary health care provider.

The Parent Child Center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The CACFP provides federal funds to childcare programs to serve nutritious meals and snacks. The goal is to improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of children and adults in care while promoting the development of good eating habits.

Classrooms and Play Spaces

Learning Space

Our classroom spaces support children’s comfort, safety, and learning every day. From inviting indoor classrooms to spacious outdoor play areas, our facilities help children feel secure, engaged, and connected as they explore, play, and grow.

There are five classrooms, a large outdoor play area, a small outdoor play area, and a covered outdoor play area.

  • Each classroom has a door leading directly to the playground.
  • The classrooms are equipped with child-sized toilets, changing tables, and sinks.
  • There are also observation rooms for parents and students.
  • A large industrial kitchen is located on site.
