Our tuition rates reflect the care, curriculum, and services included in each child’s experience—from nutritious meals to experienced teachers and enriching learning opportunities on a college campus.
Below you’ll find current program rates and information about what’s included.
What Tuition Includes
All tuition rates include:
- Nutritious family-style meals and snacks prepared on site
- Developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum
- Care and instruction from qualified early childhood educators
- Learning experiences connected to our college campus setting
- Daily communication and updates through the Brightwheel app
- All classroom materials and supplies
Operating Hours
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:15pm
A late pick-up fee of $1.50 per minute per child will be charged if the child is picked up after the end of the closing time.
Program Rates
These rates begin in September of each academic year and cover one entire calendar month.
- Students of Shoreline Community College are offered a reduced tuition rate. The Center accepts Washington State Child Care subsidies for Shoreline students, faculty, and staff only.
- Tuition rates are usually raised each Fall with approval from the Shoreline Community College Board of Trustees.
The Parent Child Center prioritizes enrolling children of Shoreline Community College students. The program also serves staff and faculty of the College and holds full time spaces for community members as well.
Full days are limited to 10 hours a day, per childcare licensing regulation.

- A $100 non-refundable registration fee is due upon enrollment, $75 annual registration each following summer
- Half Days: 8:00-11:30AM Monday-Friday
- Partial Days: 8:00 AM - 1:30PM Monday-Friday
- Full Days/ Full Time: Limited to 10 hours a day per childcare licensing regulation
- Enrollment priority is given to SCC students, SCC faculty/staff, and siblings of currently enrolled children
- Shoreline Community College students enrolled in at least 6 credits receive a discounted rate subsidized by the Shoreline Community College Associated Student Government
- The PCC accepts third party payments (e.g. DSHS) for SCC students, faculty and staff only. Exceptions may be made for special circumstances

Other Fees
- The change of schedule fee is $25 (approval required/dependent on space availability)
- 30 days notice is required for withdrawal
- A $100 non-refundable registration fee is due upon enrollment, which includes a $25 emergency supply fee.
- A $75 non-refundable registration fee is due each following summer.
- Parents will be charged $1.50 per minute for any pick up/ drop off after/ before their child's scheduled time ends/ begins, starting with the first minute
- There is a $35 late payment charge for payments made after the due date
- The Parent Child Center now uses Brightwheel for payment processing. Processing fees for billing users is 2.9% for credit cards and .90 for ACH
Additional Care
Additional care is offered when space is available for children currently enrolled (please call ahead at 206-546-4690.
Drop-in Care
Drop-in care is offered when space is available for children enrolled in the Preschool and Pre-K classrooms only, at the following rates (drop-in care is limited to space available, please call ahead 206-546-4690):
- $56 per half day
- $80 per partial day
- $95 per full day
