PHYS 90
Physics/Engineering Learning Center (1)

A learning and tutorial center for students enrolled in PHYS& 121, 122, 123 and PHYS& 221, 222, 223 as well as ENGR 115 and all 200-level ENGR courses. Provides individual and small group tutorial assistance for those enrolled in those courses. Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in Physics or Engineering course. Mandatory P/NC grading.

Engineering Physics I: Mechanics (5.5)

Calculus-based physics for majors in physical sciences, engineering, pre-medicine, mathematics. Studies Newtonian mechanics.

PHYS& 222
Engineering Physics II: Electromagnetism (5.5)

Calculus-based physics for majors in physical sciences, engineering, pre-medicine, mathematics. Studies electricity and magnetism. Prerequisite: PHYS& 221 and MATH& 163 with grades of 2.0 or better.

Engr Physics III W/Lab: Waves, Heat & Light (5.5)

Calculus-based physics for majors in physical sciences, engineering, pre-medicine, mathematics. Studies fluids, waves, sound, thermodynamics and light. Prerequisite: PHYS& 221 and MATH& 152.

Individual project in a specific area of physics. By arrangement wit h instructor. Prerequisite: Instructor permission based on evaluatio n of student's educational and work experience. Student option grading.
