Tuition discounts and waivers can help reduce the cost of attending Shoreline. Learn more about various tuition reduction options below.
Please Note: Tuition waivers pay the cost of tuition only. Required and other class fees are the responsibility of the student.
Non-resident students enrolled only in fully online-only classes may be eligible for a waiver of the non-resident tuition differential. If you are a non-resident student registered for all fully online classes and would like to explore the possibility of this tuition waiver, please send your request to enrollmentservices@shoreline.edu. Please be sure to include your name and student identification number with your request.
Please Note: Only non-resident U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens may qualify.
Requests for this waiver must be received within the first 30 days of the quarter to be considered.
Students aged 60 and older qualify for the Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver. Students
must first complete an application for admission to the college and receive a student
identification number. Under this program, a student pays a $5.00 non-refundable fee
per quarter plus any applicable per credit fees. For example, any special fees specific
to individual classes, such as computer lab fees.
Senior Waiver students can take up to two (2) classes for the quarter at this discounted
rate.
Follow these steps to enroll:
- Fill out the Senior Tuition Waiver Form;
- Meet with the instructor prior to the first day of the term to acquire their signature to register on the Senior Tuition Waiver Form;
- Submit the form to Enrollment Services at enrollmentservices@shoreline.edu
You will be eligible to register for classes on the first day of the quarter once all steps above are completed. Please be advised that payment is due within 24 hours of registration.
State employees, including, Shoreline Community College employees, can qualify for
a tuition waiver. Students must first complete an application for admission and receive
a student identification number. Under this program a state or Shoreline employee
must pay a $20.00 non-refundable fee per quarter plus any applicable per credit fees.
For example, any special fees specific to individual classes, such as computer lab
fees.
Employees who use this waiver can register for up to 6 credits per quarter at this
discounted rate.
To take advantage of this waiver:
- Fill out the State Employee Tuition Form;
- Prior to the first day of instruction, you’ll need to connect with the instructor of the course(s) you wish to enroll into and acquire their signature on the State Employee Tuition Waiver Form;
- Get your Human Resources staff to sign the form, as well;
- Submit the form to Enrollment Services at enrollmentservices@shoreline.edu
You will be eligible to register for classes on the first day of the quarter once all steps above are completed. Please be advised that payment is due within 24 hours of registration.
Veterans and Military Students may receive 25%-100% off tuition based on eligibility.
