Academic Notice
Students whose quarterly GPA is less than 2.0, or who do not earn at last half of their attempted credits, are notified that they have not met academic standards. Students are encouraged to use college resources and meet with an advisor.
Academic Intervention
A student whose quarterly GPA is less than 2.0, or who does not earn at last half of their attempted credits, for a second consecutive quarter is placed on Academic Intervention. Students are notified that a hold will be placed on their student record, preventing them from registering until they meet with an advisor and submit an Academic Self-Assessment. Students will develop steps for success and learn about support services.
Academic Restriction
A student whose quarterly GPA is less than 2.0, or does not earn at least half of their attempted credits, for a third consecutive quarter is placed on Academic Restriction. Students are notified that a hold will be placed on their student record, preventing them from registering. Students need to make an appointment in the Advising Center and submit an Academic Self-Assessmentform. Students will have the opportunity to explain their circumstances, further develop steps for success, and learn about support services.
Financial Aid
If you receive any of the notices above and you are receiving financial aid, your eligibility for continued funding may be impacted. Please see the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
