Meet Our Staff
The Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office is a non-revenue generating department of Shoreline Community that oversees the provision of disability-related reasonable accommodations and modifications for enrolled students on a case-by-case basis.
Miranda Levy, M.A., CRC., ADAC (she/her): Miranda is the Director of Student Accessibility Services and the Assessment & Testing Center. Miranda meets with students directly and approves reasonable accommodations and modifications, when appropriate. She is also available to meet with faculty to discuss accommodation-related questions and concerns and meets with staff to collaborate on how to best facilitate accommodations. Miranda is a long-standing member of Care Team and is the Chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee. Miranda also serves as the ADA Coordinator for the College as a whole; further ADA Coordinator questions may be directed to adacoordinator@shoreline.edu.
Clarke Winter, B.A. (they/them): Clarke is the primary Access Specialist for students in the SAS office. They meet with the large majority of the students who come to SAS and work on a variety of projects in the SAS office. Clarke also serves on committees related to student support and equity, including the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
SAS is supported not only by its full-time permanent staff, but also, crucially, by the incredible work of the part-time student staff, who do all manner of tasks. The department is part of the Student Affairs division, under the umbrella of the Dean of Student Engagement & Retention, Derek Levy, and the Vice President of Student Affairs/Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs, Ryan Aiello.
Students interested in disability-related accommodations may apply through the Student AIM Portal, or visit our office during business hours in FOSS (Building 5000), Room 5226 for assistance.
