Maps, graphs, and the ideas and actions of dead people (and some live ones, too!). Faculty in History, Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, International/Global Studies, and East Asian Studies teach courses that explore how individuals, governments, businesses, and societies interact.

Students in our classes use a variety of disciplinary lenses to apply critical analyses of the past and present to their own lives and issues in society. Our faculty guide and support students curious about understanding and improving their societies.
