General Requirements
Canvas runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, or any other device with a modern web browser.

Mobile
On mobile devices, Canvas is designed to be used within Canvas mobile apps, please download the Canvas mobile applications.
- Canvas Student App: This app provides access to Canvas while on the go. Depending on your device, not all Canvas features may be available on the app at this time. View Canvas Student mobile features by version and device.
Since Canvas uses small elements of Flash, not all Canvas features may be supported on mobile devices, especially on iOS. However, Canvas offers limited support for native mobile browsers on tablet devices. For additional details, please view the limited-support mobile browser guidelines.
ctcLink
To access Canvas, students will need to activate their ctcLink account and use their ctcLink ID to log in. In addition to Canvas, students will use ctcLink to register for classes, check final grades, and pay tuition.
Shoreline Network Account
Shoreline Community College provides students with a network account which is used to access Microsoft Office 365, library databases, and on-campus computer labs.
Software
Other than a web browser, the minimum software you will typically need is Office 365.
Some courses will require you to have additional software, or to purchase course-specific software or "keys" to access online course software. These are typically listed as textbook requirements and are available through the bookstore.
