How to apply to Health Informatics & Information Management programs

Health Information Foundations Certificate

No application is required for the Health Information Foundations certificate.  You can apply to Shoreline and register for the prerequisite courses directly. Contact a HIIM advisor to register for the HIIM courses or if you have questions.

 

Application period: Applications are accepted once annually in advance of each Fall quarter from mid-January to June.

Next application deadline is June 14, 2019. Applications will continue to be accepted after deadline on a space available basis.

Applicants will need to have access to a computer and high speed Internet.

Health Information Technology AAAS

MATH& 146 Intro to Statistics or equivalent placement test score
ENGL& 101 English Composition I or BTWRT 215 Business Communications
BIOL& 170 Human Biology

Health Information Technology Certificate (No application required)

BIOL& 170 Human Biology

Medical Coding and Reimbursement Specialist Certificate

Application Process

  1. Apply to Shoreline Community College and obtain a student identification number (SID)
  2. Fill out the Health Informatics and Information Management application
