Dental Hygiene Department
The Shoreline Community College Dental Clinic is a non-profit clinic in partnership with the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Students develop multiple skills to become competent oral health care professionals. The faculty are dedicated in guiding students both in the classroom and the clinic, and support student in their professional growth.
Our program operates at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and provides dental hygiene and restorative services to patients from the campus and the community. We also have an international study abroad program to Bolivia. Our graduates achieve excellent success in passing the regional and national Dental Hygiene Board Exams as well as gaining employment.
In accordance with U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 C.F.R. 668.43 (a) (5) (v), the Dental Hygiene Program at Shoreline Community College has reviewed the Dental Hygienist licensing requirements for Washington State and has determined that a Shoreline dental hygiene graduate would be eligible for licensure in Washington State as a dental hygienist. Shoreline Community College has not made a determination whether the dental hygiene curriculum meets educational requirements for licensure/certification outside of Washington State.
