In English we nurture language as an essential human tool for interaction. Our students learn lifelong skills in reading, writing, thinking, and creativity. Composition students study critical reading, and they practice the design and completion of small and large writing tasks. Literature students study the way imagination and aesthetic design can reveal shared experiences. In creative writing, students learn techniques for creating their own expressive works in poetry and fiction.
