Earth & Environmental Sciences Department

Earth and Environmental Sciences explore the planet's physical characteristics and systems, including the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere. They include Geology, Oceanography, and Environmental Science.

The community of faculty, students and staff, investigate, both inside the classroom and through fieldwork, rocks and minerals, plate tectonics, natural hazards, weather and climate, and living ecosystems. Our unique lab facilities, and the forests of adjacent Boeing Creek watershed, provide an ideal environment for hands-on, active learning.
