Military Credits Procedure

 

Shoreline Community College follows the recommendations of the American Council on Education (ACE) when evaluating military training and education records.  Typically, a student veteran may earn a maximum of 15-credits in the form of restricted electives for prior military training & service.  The Department of Veteran Affairs requires that you submit an official military transcript to Shoreline Community College for evaluation if you plan to utilize your GI Bill benefits.  

The Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard provide Joint Service Transcripts which can be ordered online at https://jst.dod.mil.   Please indicate that  you would like your official transcript sent to Shoreline Community College. The transcript will be provided to the college electronically.  

The Air Force provides Community College of the Air Force transcripts.  For information on how to order an Air Force transcript, please see http://www.au.af.mil/au/barnes/ccaf/transcripts.asp.  Please indicate that you want your Air Force Transcript sent to Shoreline Enrollment Services.  

Upon ordering your military transcript, please check-in with the Veterans Programs Office for an evaluation of your military credits.
