Transfer to a Four-Year University
Advising will monitor admissions policies at the public four-year universities (i.e. University of Washington) and some of the private institutions.  Transfer Agreements have been negotiated between the community colleges and the public four-year universities.  These agreements define the policies and procedures for transferring students from one institution to the other.  See a list of universities to which Shoreline Community College has developed transfer agreements.

Career Counseling
Students may wish to discuss their career options with someone in the Advising and Counseling Center.  Knowing how to fit your interests with a long-term career will help you choose the academic program right for you.

Personal Counseling
Some students seek counseling during a period of crisis in their lives but you do not need to have a major problem before coming to the Advising and Counseling Center. Counseling involves expressing your concerns, questions and feelings, and identifying ways to handle them.
