1. Visit the class page and familiarize yourself with the resources available there.

Look at the Research Tutorial

Do a search of the online catalog for your philosopher. How many items are listed?

Go to the library page for “Online Databases”

Then go to the ProQuest Direct and Ebsco data bases and search for articles about your
philosopher. How many items are listed as “full text” sources? (Print out a list)
3. Look at the “Reference” web sites on the class page. Identify potential sources for your
philosopher. Which do you find most helpful? Why? (1 paragraph) If you run across other
sites of this nature please provide URL’s.
4. Using either the links on the class page or an internet search engine - find web sites
for Plato, and Aristotle. Write a brief review of at least one site for each
philosopher noting its utility (links to information, expanded texts, articles online,
etc.) authority (who produced this site - is it an authoritative source - connected with
a university etc.) and general value for preliminary research. ( 1- 2 pages)
