Class Times

Morning  8:30 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.
Afternoon  11:30 a.m.- 2:50 p.m.
Evening 6 p.m. - 8:50 p.m.*

*Cannot be taken with morning and afternoon ESL classes.

Shoreline’s English as a Second Language Program offers English
language classes for students who do not speak English as
their first language


Our Adult Basic Education ESL (basic skills) offers six basic levels
of classes to non-native English speaking immigrants, refugees and
citizens. Applicants that want to obtain a student visa, please
visit the International Education website.


Our classes help students improve their reading, writing, speaking
and listening skills. Our advanced level classes prepare students to
enter our college level classes or professional technical programs.
We offer intensive classes as well as part-time classes for working
students.

Get Started – Become a Student

  • Complete our online application.
  • You will receive a letter with information about taking a
    free test.
  • After the test, the ESL program will send your test results by
    mail.
  • Last, you will receive a letter to register for classes.

 

Costs (Levels 1 to 6)

  • Classes cost $25 per quarter. (Some applicants might
    qualify to take classes for free)
  • Books costs vary from $30 to $100 dollars.
  • Parking $45 plus tax (free parking and bus service is
    available near the college)
