What You Should Know
Shoreline Community College maintains an open enrollment policy for all students who are high school graduates, have earned a General Education Development (GED) certificate or are at least 18 years of age.

Some programs will require a separate application. More information is available by going directly to the Professional-Technical website for these programs.

• Cosmetology
• Dental Hygiene
• Health Care Information Programs:
* Medical Coding
* Medical Reimbursement
• Medical Lab Tech (second year)
• Nursing

Residency Requirement
To be considered a Washington state resident, you are required to have established residency at least twelve 12 months prior to the beginning of the quarter for which you are applying. Review the Washington State Residency Requirements for Tuition and Fee Purposes [Adobe PDF].

You may request to change your residency status by completing the following questionnaire and mailing it with copies of the required documents to the SCC Admissions office. Faxed questionnaires can not be accepted. College and University Residence Questionnaire [Adobe PDF].
