Health Professional Program Preparation
More about Certified Nursing Assistant
Employment is available
at many hospitals, nursing homes, and other
health care settings. Students who are preparing
for a Registered Nursing training program often
train and work as a CNA to get experience in the
field of nursing.
Shoreline Community
College offers a CNA training program for
students who are part of the WorkFirst program.
This is a state funded program for those who are
eligible for TANF and/or otherwise qualify as a
low income parent. For more information, please
contact the WorkFirst office
CNA training is
available at several local schools, including
the Nursing Assistant Training Institute
on Aurora Avenue near Shoreline CC (http://www.natraining.net/)
as well as at Edmonds and North Seattle
Community College.
