The Student Body Association
The Student Body Association serves as the recognized representative
of Shoreline Community College students on campus. Student leaders
provide a student perspective to the college on campus life and the
quality of educational programs and services on campus. Student
leaders have the opportunity to address the Board of Trustees, staff
members and committees on issues they deem important. They serve on
faculty appointment review committees and on faculty and
administrative hiring committees, and participate in developing the
strategic plans, policies and priorities of the college.
Student Government Student
Governmentalso allocates funds to student clubs and organizations and provides
support and advocacy for these groups. Student Government is an
active participant in fostering the mission of Shoreline Community
College, and it has provided leadership for many innovations on
campus, including the creation of the Multicultural/Diversity
Education Center, the creation of the Student Technology Fee (to
fund computer labs), and the renovation of the Pagoda Union Building
(PUB).
