Rentals: Rules and Regulations
The applicant agrees to observe all rules and regulations of the college.
The applicant agrees to exercise the utmost care in the use of the premises and property of Shoreline Community College. Applicant further agrees to reimburse the college for damage, loss and/or claims arising from the applicant's use of facilities.
Smoking is not permitted on campus except in designated areas. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on campus unless authorized and unless a banquet permit has been acquired and posted in the facilities rented by the applicant during the event.
Decorations and application of materials to walls, ceilings or floors shall not be allowed without prior written permission. Furniture and equipment will not be moved from one room to another unless specifically called for in this application and under the direct supervision of a designated college employee.
Facilities used shall be limited to those specified in this application with the exception of rest rooms; applicant agrees to use only said facilities. Other campus facilities such as the bookstore or cafeteria may be used, when open for general college use, by individual members of the applicant's organization.
The rental to an off campus organization or individual for use of facilities is granted with the express understanding and condition that such off campus organization or individual assumes full responsibility for loss or damage resulting from such use and agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the college for any loss or damage or claims arising out of such use or uses. Applicant may be required to carry his or her own public liability insurance if it is determined at the time of the application that such insurance is warranted
The college reserves the right to deny or cancel the use of facilities when it is deemed that persons or property might be endangered and/or when the activity in any way might be prejudicial to or not in the best interest of the college.
Rental of facilities may be revoked by the college if violation(s) of college regulations and/or breach of provisions of this agreement occur.
A damage deposit may be required by the college. The amount of the deposit shall be determined by the college.
A fee may be assessed for each vehicle of participants and audience of the applicant parking on the campus in accordance with the Parking and Traffic Rules adopted by the college.
