Officer Descriptions
President
Lead meetings, prepare meeting agendas, appoint and establish
any necessary committees, vote only in case of a tie, develop
goals and plans for the chapter with the help of the advisor and
other officers, oversee chapter activities, projects and award
entry preparation, Responsible for assisting the Vice Presidents
with their preparation for the quarterly induction
ceremony.

Leadership Committees
Service, Scholarship, Leadership, & Fellowship; Committees will serve each Vice President under their assigned duties according to chapter guidelines
o Member voting is not necessary; any who want to join a committee, providing there is an opening, shall be admitted. o The first allotment of members to each committee shall be a three member minimum until all four committees are full. At such time the member allotment shall be increased to a maximum of 6 members in each committee. o Committee meetings shall be organized by the individual VPs, separate from regular member meetings o Committee members shall not act outside of the delegation of their VP
Vice President of Scholarship
o Scholarship Committee; serve as Scholarship Advocates to the members of Pi Iota, assisting members with questions regarding scholarships, nominations, applications/essays, university applications, and operate study and tutor groups.
Vice President of Leadership
o Leadership Committee; in Servant Leadership work to encourage leadership, not only serving each other but teaching people how to serve their community, assisting the other VP positions in their cause and events.
Vice President of Service
o Service Committee; carry out organization and operation of current service projects and look for new ways to serve the community of SCC as well as greater Seattle.
Vice President of Fellowship
o Fellowship Committee; brainstorming on new ideas and opportunities to increase membership via advertising, orientations, club kick-off events, etc, as well as encouraging meeting attendance amongst current members (active and inactive).

Treasurer
Receive all application fees and prepare purchase requisitions
to pay membership registration fees; review all expenses with
and obtain authorization signatures from the club advisor,
director of student programs, and Budget & Accounting Office in
processing purchase requisitions, travel paperwork, and other
expenses; maintain financial records of expenses and income for
the club budget; present a financial report at each business
meeting; place all records in the official files of the chapter
at the end of each academic year. (Note: Many colleges require
that a chapter advisor approve any
expenditures. Officers should consult the advisor to
determine the college's policies on organization finances.)
Recording Secretary (Recording Officer)
Take
minutes at each chapter meeting and present those minutes at the
following meeting; keep records of all chapter activities; keep
current files of photos, flyer, etc.; and place all records in
the official record book at the end of each academic year.
Public Relations Officer/ Corresponding Secretary
Promote the chapter at all levels of the
organization, submit articles to the campus and community
newspapers; create a chapter newsletter on a regular basis; and
take photographs at all chapter activities, communicating with
the members of Phi Theta Kappa and keep them updated with the
information as well as events that are taking place. Manage
