COURSE DESCRIPTION:

An introduction to proper use of weight training and cardio fitness equipment, fitness assessment and the development of a fitness program.  This course is designed to prepare students to safely use the Fitness Center.  

 

ATTIRE

Shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes.  Attire must be appropriated for workout and must allow for free movement. 

 

COURSE EVALUATION:

1.   Attendance/Participation:

Attendance and Participation in class activities is required.  Students missing more that 1 classes will receive NC for the class. 

 

2.    Written work:  

Student will develop a personal fitness goals and a personal training program related to those goals.  Complete type written goal statements and Personal Training Programs are due on the first Monday after the completion of the class.  Dates will be posted and announced in class.

Student failing to turn in both the goal statement and Personal Training Program will receive a NC on the assignment.

 

FINAL COURSE GRADE:  P/NC only.  To receive credit for the class students must Pass both components for the class listed about
