I teach full time at Shoreline, in the Business Division. I teach Introduction to Business, Introduction to Fashion, International Business and Human relations.  I have a Ph.D. in Consumer Behavior (my dissertation was on "Generational Buying Behaviors") and I also hold a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing and Consumer Behavior.

Before starting teaching 6 years ago, I owned a small marketing firm. I did research, media buying and wrote marketing plans for clients. I also worked for Home Base in corporate training. I had a stint in Washington DC, as a legislative writer. I have also worked in retail management and visual merchandising.

I am one of the co-advisors for College DECA.  It is one of my favorite activities at Shoreline; I love working with the students.

On a personal note, I am married to a wonderful person who works in technology. We have two dogs, Sam and Casey. Casey and I do volunteer work for an organization called, “Delta Society.”  Through the organization, Casey and I visit nursing homes and hospitals and perform tricks for the people (Casey performs the tricks, not me).  My husband and I love to travel and we golf as much as we can.  We also have a cabin in Leavenworth where we spend most weekends.

I really enjoy research and writing. I have a textbook coming out in January titled, “Core Concepts in Fashion,” published with McGraw-Hill.  My second textbook venture called, “Introduction to Business” should be out in summer 2007.
