Jane has a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications from Miami University of Ohio and a Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University. As a tenured professor of video production, digital filmmaking and cinema studies at Shoreline Community College, Jane is working to develop the professional/technical video/film certificate program. Jane has worked professionally in a variety of production positions (technical director, editor, videographer, chief audio engineer, and master control) at an ABC affiliate, ESPN, PBS Cincinnati, and other corporations and broadcast television stations. As a professional actress, Jane worked on camera (film and TV) and stage appearing in the Young and the Restless (CBS), Wolper Productions' Primal Man, and The Gong Show. Along with her production work, Jane is also a trainer, demo artist, and product specialist for High Definition and Standard Definition Switcher/Digital Effects (DVE) equipment. She is a trainer and consultant for editors and technical directors at NBC Network News Burbank, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, Entertainment Tonight - Paramount Studio, and the BBC to name a few. She is also a demo artist and presenter at the two largest international broadcast seminars, NAB Las Vegas and IBC Amsterdam. In early November 2001, she was in Nepal shooting footage of a Pilgrimage for Peace involving Tibetan refugees, high Buddhist lamas and 55 women from twenty-four countries from around the world. She will also be the editor on this project. As a co-producer, director and editor, Jane completed production for The BeComing Project, a video program on women's circles.
