Classified Positions

Classified positions are under the Washington State Department of Personnel-Higher Education Unit.  All Classified positions must join the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) Bargaining Unit within 30 days of employment. Following a successful probationary/trial service period, employees attain permanent status. Some positions typically found in this employee category include: accountant/fiscal technician, computer support, custodial/maintenance, library technician, office assistant and secretary.

Applications for Classified positions are accepted for advertised vacancies only.  Completed application packets must be received in the Office of Human Resources & College Relations & Employee Relations by the stated closing date. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications may be submitted in person or by U.S. mail only.  At this time application materials may not be submitted by e-mail.
