Financial Aid
Award Letters (Award
Notification)
After students have completed their
financial aid file at Shoreline Community College, all information
and supporting documents are reviewed by staff. When the review is
completed, students are mailed an Award Notification letter that
indicates the type of financial aid available to the student (i.e.
grant, work study, and/or loan).
Student loans require a separate loan
form and the electronic Master Promissory note. Entrance Counseling
is required for first-time borrowers.
Enrollment Status
Aid is awarded for the quarters
students indicated on the Shoreline Financial Aid Data sheet and in
accordance with satisfactory academic progress requirements. Unless
students have indicated IN WRITING to the Financial Aid Office that
they will be part-time students, aid will be awarded at full-time. Aid will be adjusted later for enrollment level changes
ONLY if a written request was received by the tenth day of the
quarter. If students do not notify the Financial Aid Office, aid will
automatically be adjusted for part-time registration status after
the second week of the quarter.
