Q: How do I clean out the cache in my browser?

Occasionally a previously viewed page will load or remain on your screen creating the illusion you are working with a new page. If you log in to Blackboard and it says "Temporarily Unavailable," try clearing the cache in your web browser and  refresh your browser to log in to Blackboard.

 Here are the instructions to do so:

If you are using Internet Explorer 8, go to Tools > Options > General then in Browsing History click Delete and select Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History, then delete and then OK.

For Internet Explorer 7, go to Tools > Options > General then in Browsing History click Settings and select Every time I start Internet Explorer.

If you are using Firefox, you would to go Tools > Clear Private Data then select Browser History > Cache > Cookies > Clear Private Data Now.

On the PC hit the F5 key to refresh the page. On the Mac, hit Command-R.
