Tech fee request info
The Technology Review Committee is accepting proposals to request funds for technology resoureces for general student use from now until March 24.
The TRC allocates funds collected by the Student Technology Fee, a “voluntary student fee created under the authority of RCW 28b.15.610.”
“On this go-around, about $100,000 will be allocated,” student body vice-president Jessica Gonzalez said. “It might be less, it might be more.”
The informational packet, titled Introduction to the Student Technology Fee, explains that funds requested “may be used to provide and maintain services that include access to the Internet and world wide web, e-mail, computer and multimedia workstations and laboratories, computer software, and dial-up phone services.”
According to Gonzalez, as long as the technology requested will be open everyone, it falls within the requirements of the proposal.
Request forms can be picked up in the Student Government Office located in the Pagoda Union Building.
