Campus Security Log

The following events took place from April 8 to April 27, 2004.

April 8: Stolen Permit
A permit was reported stolen from a Mercedes-Benz parked west of the 1400 building.

April 15: Aid Call
At 2:30 p.m., an employee reported feeling light-headed and nauseous in the visitor lot. She was examined by medics and went home with a family member.

April 15: Theft
Some time between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., money was reportedly stolen from an employee’s purse in the childcare center.

April 19: Bomb Threat
At 9:15 a.m., a bomb threat was called into 911 from a pay phone in the 2700 building. The person reportedly said, “I’m going to blow up the entire campus right now.” Shoreline Police responded but felt that there was nothing they could really do. Security found that there was a major test happening in a building nearby. Security suspects the threat may have been made by a student trying to get out of taking a test.

April 19: Vehicle Accident
At 9:40 a.m., a minor fender bender was reported by the 2500 building. There were no injuries.

April 19: Verbal Argument
At 10:00 a.m. a verbal argument reportedly took place over a parking situation. Security is still waiting for statements from both parties.

April 19: Curling Iron Mishap
At 9:30 a.m. a minor electric shock was reported in the 2900 building due to a curling iron that shorted out.

April 21: Aid Call
At 10:45 a.m., an aid call was made due to a staff member who tripped on the stairs by the 1000 building. The staff member broke his knee.

April 22: Illegal Posting
At 12:43 p.m., west of the 1400 building, a person was reportedly placing fliers on car windows. Security asked the person to take them off.

April 23: Theft
At 11:40 p.m. two individuals reportedly went in to the 1800 building, took a wallet, and ran out the door. Security doesn’t have much information on the case.

April 27: Aid Call
At 1:00 p.m. in the Foss building a campus visitor reported feeling lightheaded. The individual was taken to the hospital.

April 27: Smashed Windshield
At 12:45 p.m., a witness reported a male hitting a car windshield with something made of metal south of the 900 building. He then reportedly took off in his car. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a silver or light-blue Honda Accord, late 90’s or early 2000 model. A license plate number was taken down but it was found to not match the description of the vehicle. Security has requested anyone with any information to please contact them.
