Holiday calendar for Nov. 15 to Jan. 6
Nov. 15 & 16, The SCC Drama Series presents: "Geography of a Horse Dreamer", 7:30 at the Campus Theatre lobby. Enjoy a journey back to 1974 in a world where the dollar rules, gamblers are royalty, a cheap hotel room is a castle, and dreams come true at the finish line.
Nov. 15-17, David Copperfield will be appearing at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets are $21-$55, several shows each day. First Copperfield made his hair disappear, then he made Claudia Schiffer disappear, and now he wants to make your hard-earned holiday capital disappear.
Nov. 22-24, The Nordic Heritage Museum presents the annual Yuletide fest. A three-day celebration of the holidays, with food, crafts, and in the Scandinavian spirit.
Nov. 30 - Dec. 30, Pacific Northwest Ballet presents the "Nutcracker" at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets $18 - $102, online. Nothing says the holidays like the "Nutcracker". With unique sets and costumes, as well as live music by the PND orchestra.
Dec. 2-3, SCC presents "The Soulful Sounds of Christmas XII" at the Shoreline Campus Theatre. Put some high spirits in your holiday plans. This concert has filled the house with Christmas spirits every year with performances by one of the northwest best gospel group: Total Experience Gospel Choir. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the men's basketball program.
Dec. 5-7, 12-14, The SCC Drama Series presents: "The Illusion" by Tony Kusha, adapted from L'Illusion Comique by Pierre Corneille, 7:30 at the Campus theatre. Through the doors of this charming comedy this play explores the theatre, storytelling, and life. The characters in the play deal with love, deception, rejection, obsession, and murder.
Dec. 20-25, celebrate consumerism, materialism, and come down with a nasty case of affluenza while you enjoy some wonderful Christmas decorations at all of the Seattle area malls and shopping centers. Remember, Christmas is about love and family, not spending money and surmounting more possessions.
Dec. 31, celebrate the New Year at the Space Needle with thousands of festive drunk people. Fireworks and New Year's resolutions that will be broken in a matter of weeks, try to have a good time though it is the biggest party of the year.
