Dismal Scientists invite students to share their pain

Welcome, in Arabic is: 'Marhaba'
The Muslim Student Association presents 'Islam 101.' A one-time lecture will be given by accredited Sheic Mohammad Joban of Cham Masjid in Seattle, this event is an opportunity for students to clear misconceptions and stereotypes about Islam and Muslims. Opera auditions will take place Tuesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 7 from 11:30 - 1:30 in the Campus Theater. Please meet outside room 1524 for audition forms. A list will be posted on the door of room 809. Please enter directly into the 1500 building as classes are being held in the theater lobby. Bring music for the accompanist - no a cappella singing. Casting Call
The theater, video, and film productions are asking for students to assist with the technical demands of their two productions this quarter. Productions underway are "Geography of a Horse Dreamer" by Sam Shepard, directed by Tony Doupe and "The Illusion" by Tony Kushner adapted from "L'illuion Comique" by Pierre Corneille, directed by Shelly Douma. "Geography of a Horse Dreamer" runs Nov. 7 - 9 and 14 - 16. "The Illusion" has a two week run Thursday - Saturday Dec. 5 - 7 and Dec. 12 - 14. Sonic Arts producing their own jams
The Sonic Arts Club will be meeting Mondays at 6:30 in room 862 (downstairs in the Music Building) to elect officers and discuss club activities. The club will be producing an audio CD to accompany this year's Spindrift Literary Magazine. Students are needed to assist in the production process.
