Come to the Cabaret! Your last chance to catch the Kit Kat Girls' kick line before they close their doors for good.

'Castle in the Sky' by Miyazaki Hayao

The Japanese Club is sponsoring this showing of the second feature film (1986) from the master of Japanese animation. Miyazaki is the creator of the acclaimed films "My Neighbor Totoro," "Princess Mononoke" and last year's winner of best film at the Berlin Film Festival, "Spirited Away" - the first animated picture ever to win that prize. Japanese snacks and tea will be served before the film, and there will be a discussion afterward.

Funk n' Groove and SCC Jazz Ensemble

Funk n' Groove is a new SCC performance ensemble comprised of horns, keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, instrumental soloists and singers. They will perform a full range of music including acoustic folk, country swing, jazz quartet and, of course, funk. They will be performing on May 29 with the SCC Jazz Ensemble.

The 5th Annual Film and Video Festival presents original work by SCC directors, writers and actors. This is an opportunity to meet the filmmakers and see their work.

Bassam Bishara performs 'Melodies of Palestine'

A renowned singer and musician from Jerusalem dedicated to the Palestinian cause, Bishara will be performing Arabic music, both traditional and popular.

Sam Hamill poetry reading

Poet, translator, founder of Copper Canyon Press and man behind poetsagainstthewar.org, Sam Hamill will be talking and reading from his newest poetry collection, "Dumb Luck."

Shoreline Concert Band performs 'War and Peace'

"War and Peace" will feature works by Victoria, Barber, Haydn and Bach, as well as three works by three Seattle composers. Also features the Shoreline Singers and the SCC Chamber Chorale with orchestra.

One-Act Play Festival

These student-and-faculty directed one acts will showcase SCC actors in a wide range of short plays.
