Rolling book bags - sonic abominations

Forget traffic jams, roving smokers, and auto theft; earsplitting rolling book bags are the true scourge of SCC. I assume we can't discharge air horns or firearms on campus, why are rolling book bags allowed? 100 decibels is 100 decibels. If you don't want to carry your books, then you need to discover inflatable tires or buy a hovercraft or find some other, quiet way to transport your stuff. One of the basic functions of a college is to facilitate communication between people, yet being within a 20-meter radius of one of these rolling headaches precludes the possibility of any vocal communication.
