New student finds SCC parking appalling Erika Berg

This is my first quarter at Shoreline College, and I must say that I am appalled at the parking situation. I would take the bus if there were a direct line to the school from my neighborhood. Unfortunately, I don't have that option, so I have to drive.
Nights and weekends are OK. It's daytime parking that is so bad. Arriving early to park doesn't help unless I show up in the wee hours of the morning. This type of situation makes getting to classes on time a very stressful situation. It is easy to arrive late, or even miss a whole class because of it.
Also, people are driving like maniacs. Everyone is in such haste to take a spot before someone else gets it that they forget about the pedestrians who are around them. Road rage is also rampant. It is a dangerous situation out there, and I am expecting that someone will get hurt because of it.
I hear a lot of people complaining about it, so I'd like to know if the school has plans to fix this situation. Giving out more tickets doesn't solve the problem.
