Blackboard Information
Blackboard is Web-based software that
provides students and instructors a set of tools to post class
materials online and easily communicate with each other. Shoreline
uses Blackboard to deliver its Online and Hybrid
courses, and provide web resources for on-campus
Web-Enhanced classes. Students can access the Shoreline
Blackboard Web site from anywhere they have Internet access.
The resources below provide students
with instructions for getting started in their Online,
Hybrid, or Web-Enhanced course and information about using
Blackboard.

Schedule of Blackboard
Orientation Sessions
Attend an optional, 50-minute
orientation session about Blackboard on the
Shoreline campus. At the orientation
session, you will create a
Blackboard account, join your online classroom, and see an
overview of the Blackboard online classroom. Please
bring your SIDs - a 9 digit number that starts with 965 and found on
SCC students cards, or, registration information, to the session.
These sessions are recommended, but not required.)
Computer Requirements for Using Blackboard
Review a list of computer requirements for using Blackboard, and
download Web browsers that work well with Blackboard.
You will also need
Adobe
Acrobat Reader for some of the documents posted in this website as
well as some documents your instructor might have in your classroom.
