Focus on Technical Theater:

In addition to the General Drama and Video/Film Production courses, to specialize in technical theater you will take Drama 210, 211, 212 which teach the essentials of Stage Technology; Basic Lighting; Basic Design and set building. In these courses, you will put the theories and techniques into practice as you work on productions.

Ron Owens is our resident Technical Theater Director and manages a full shop that designs, builds and runs seven full productions each year. With such rigorous training, our graduates have gone on to be production managers at theaters in with independent film companies, stage managers, line producers, set dressers, set designers, master carpenters and lighting designers and technicians.
