Film faculty blaze trail at SIFF

FilmThe Seattle International Film Festival has made a name for itself in the world of film festivals, now ranked as the largest and most well attended in the U.S. It has become one of the more competitive venues for filmmakers, and this year's SIFF includes the work of all of the SCC film/video instructors-- Tony Doupe, Kristofor Boustedt and Ruth Gregory. What a testament to the creativity and quality of their work. "Shoreline's Digital Filmmaking program has become a top notch, dynamic film program that perpares students with hands-on professional opportunities for actual work in the field," Dean Norma Goldstein said.

SIFF is a constantly innovating year-round film organization that brings to Seattle edgy international and independent film, actors, and filmmakers that might otherwise be overlooked.  It runs from May 20-June 13.  Enjoy feature films, short films, and documentaries; check out the schedule at http://www.siff.net/.

The Seattle International Film Festival will celebrate its 36th birthday this season with 256 feature-length films and 150 shorts from 67 countries.  More...
