Welcome to Davis Oldhams home page. Here youll find links to the courses Im teaching and some of the courses I have taught in the past, and other information as I find time to add it.
A list of links with helpful advice on key writing issues.
The Writing and Learning Studio (TWLS, formerly the ASC), Room 1501, provides instructional handouts and texts, a comfortable study environment, and dropin tutoring for students in any discipline who want to work on college reading strategies, study skills, research papers, essays, or other kinds of writing assignments. Additionally, TWLS offers variable credit courses and workshops on topics such as notetaking, memory improvement, research writing, testtaking, and grammar.
When weather is bad, I will try to get information about our class to you in three ways:
If the college is open but I have to cancel class because I cannot get to campus, this is how I will try to let you know.
If homework is due on a day that class is cancelled, you may turn it in the next day we meet or you may email it. If you are on campus, feel free to slide it under my office door. Unless otherwise noted, if the homework was due in class I prefer to get a hard copy the next day we meet, but I will take email submissions.
From time to time I will post announcements of scholarships and other aid opportunities, as time permits. I will also maintain permanent links to our main financial aid sources at Shoreline.
