OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENT READINGS
If you choose to do any of these optional reaction paper assignments (worth 5 points each), please do the following: 1. Select one of the articles listed below (if you don't see them, scroll down) under the optional assignment heading and read the article. 2. Briefly summarize the article you read in 2-3 paragraphs. Focus on the big themes. Please use your own words for your summary. Do not copy sentences or long phrases from the paper and do not simply use quotations marks to quote sections of text. 3. For the remainder of the paper, share your personal reaction to what you read. Can you relate the content to our class or to your life in any way? Were the conclusions surprising or expected? Any reaction you have is appropriate for this part of the assignment. Papers should be typed, double-spaced, 2-3 pages in length, and turned in on or before the assigned due date.
