 Whether you are just getting started or already operating your own business, this series will help you manage the challenges every small business owner faces.

 

HOW TO WRITE A SINGLE-PAGE BUSINESS PLAN-THAT WORKS!—NEW

The Quick-Plan (single-page business plan) is a tool that can help all of us, whether we are just in the idea stage of business planning or are in business and never took the time for this important exercise. This workshop is designed to help you think, plan, and put down on paper your vision, goals and plan to start or grow your business. It will also take you to the next level in business planning. Each student will leave with worksheets and the beginning of their own Quick Plan.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS & INTERVIEWS THAT WORK--NEW!

What kind of hiring process are you using now? Could it work better for you? Learn a step-by-step approach that takes you from job descriptions through interviews with a process that works to achieve your goals for your business. In this workshop style class, you’ll discover the most effective ways to describe a position and then ask interview questions that give you solid information to use in hiring. You’ll create sample documents you can take from class and use the next time you hire someone. There will be ample time for discussion and adapting the class material to your situation.

Small Business Accelerator

The Accelerator assists business owners and entrepreneurs to start-up, plan, expand or grow their small business. One-on-one counseling programs are project-based, and driven by an action plan to achieve specific business goals. Accelerate your business by emailing Mark McVeety at accelerator@shoreline.edu to arrange a free interview. The Accelerator is funded by the Herbert B. Jones Foundation and is a free service to qualifying businesses.
