Excellence awards in Business, Automotive and
Manufacturing
Each year the Faculty Excellence award is
given at the All Campus Meeting. The award is given by the
Shoreline Community
College Foundation. The Business, Automotive and Manufacturing
Division has won the award each year between 2000-2004.

I have been teaching
since 1998. Most recently I have been putting a varied background of business,
psychology, and computers into a cohesive package called Information Assurance.
BS in Psychology from Wazzu (WSU),
BA in Business from Wazzu (WSU),
MSIA (Master of Science in Information Assurance) in June from Norwich
University,
IAEGC (Information Assurance Education Graduate Certificate) from Purdue during
Summer 2004. My philosophy is I would "prefer to teach people to farm rather
than pick the vegetables for them."
Bob Shields

I
have been teaching since 1983 in California, Japan, China, Finland and
Washington. I joined the SCC faculty in 1998. I also hold the following
certifications: Comptia Network+, Microsoft MCSE+I, and (ISC)² CISSP.
Year 2000-
Phyllis
Topham

Thoroughly enjoys coaching people to solve puzzles and to
make computers work for them. Taught in Quebec, New York,
Colorado, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin before moving to
Washington. Began teaching at SCC in 1989. BS in
Mathematics (Muhlenberg College), MS in Computer Science
(University of Washington).
