Assessment

How do take an Assessment?

Assessment testing is provided in the SCC Assessment/Testing Center located in the FOSS building (5000), Room 5225. Appointments are encouraged to reserve your seat. You may also arrive on a "space available" basis for all COMPASS test sessions. All Friday sessions are by appointment ONLY.

Testing Schedule

1. Pay the assessment fee
Pay your $15 assessment fee at the cashier and bring your receipt to the Assessment/Testing Center to make an appointment. You may also make your appointment and pay your fee on the phone using your credit card by call 206-546-4608. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Be sure you can make your appointment, if you don't show up you will pay again.

2. Please arrive early and bring your SCC student ID number or your SSN.
Seating is "first come, first served." There will be a sign-up sheet posted one half hour before test start times. Please arrive early and bring your receipt and Student ID or Social Security Number. A schedule of test times is available at Testing Schedule. Testing on Fridays is ONLY by appointment.

3. Take your assessment test
Once you have completed your test, you will receive a copy of your results. Please keep this copy for your permanent records! You will need to bring your copy of the results when you meet with your advisor and when you register.
