Information About Majors for Transfer Students

Accurate information about your intended major can be vital to finishing your degree in a timely manner.  Many majors, particularly in the sciences, business and fine arts, require extensive preparation throughout your college career.

The Shoreline Community College Advising and Counseling Center maintains planning sheets that show how to  prepare for many majors while earning an Associates in Arts and Sciences transfer degree.    You can find most of them online.

In order to ensure the smoothest transition into your transfer college and major, it is vital that you consult regularly with your advisor and, if possible, representatives of the baccalaureate program you are going to enter.

The following links were chosen to help you and your advisor better plan for your major.  Because requirements change constantly, it is important that you or your advisor check with the school you are transferring to for the latest information.

Don't have a major yet?  You might want to visit our page on How to Choose a Major.
